When I first started growing 'soil-sprouts' I bought bird seed from the feed store, I have to laugh at that now, but I was amazed at just how much junk is in those bags of sunflower seed. I picked through the seed and separated the stems, rocks (no kidding), and junk that I have no idea what it was and lots of broken seeds and empty hulls. By the time I was done, I had about a 50/50 split, junk and seeds.

HARD RED WINTER WHEAT
The Hard Red Winter Wheat seed are certified organic. These are beautiful seeds. No Junk! I get a very high percentage rate of viable seeds. I like to snip the grass with sissors to add to the salad bowl.
BROCCOLI AND THE 'COLE' FAMILY
Broccoli and the entire 'Cole' family are easy to grow and make a wonderful addition to the Indoor Garden. The seeds are very small and only require an teaspoon of seeds to plant a 3" x 6" Tray and 2 teaspoons for the large 4" x 8" Tray. These need a little more time to grow shoots, 10 to 14 days, but are worth it for the great flavors and the health benefits. Definitely try the Poor Man's Cabbage (Canola seed) easy, cheap and delicious.
